Election Diary: When Everything Falls to Pieces But We’re Still Here

We’re nearing the 100 day mark. I thought I’d take a breath after the dismal performance Biden gave at the debate. Truth is, I don’t want to be talking about anyone being too old to do anything right now. It’s a depressing topic in general. So then I took another breath, and the orange bastard was shot.

Then I took another breath and wow, Biden dropped out. Time moves swiftly forward. We can’t stop it.

In my opinion, President Biden has been doing an excellent job of leading the country and I want four more years of exactly what we have right now so when people were talking about knocking him off the ballot, I was scared. I’m scared now.

Now, I find myself explaining to far too many people how putting Kamala Harris at the top of the ballot makes no sense at all if you ever really want Harris to serve as President, bcause I honestly believe she will lose in a general election, and spending the rest of my time pretending I’m in 16th century Asia. (which seems like a pretty safe place to be in comparison to where we’re headed.)

I’ve decided I have to keep writing just for the purpose of having a little window into one average woman’s life in the final months leading up to this election.
